Expect to enjoy a new compact design, plus some true upgrades. This new release is the cleanest compact everyday carry in the Baton lineup. This new premium case firmly leads the tech forefront in innovation. Respect is shown in its predecessor in compatibility. The Premium Edition was an awesome release, and it's been a favorite gift in my family. Lumen increase
First of all, I just used the turbo mode to help find our cat who snuck outside right after dark. Turbo mode now delivers 1,300 lumens in a compact unit, providing enough light to notice that she (her name is Newt, she would expect me to let it be known, lol) had gone up her favorite climbing tree in the front yard at night - the Baton 4 caught the reflection in her eyes while aiming the light low to the ground! Noticeable clarity of the latest edition to the baton series is rich in candela allowing a 4.87% increase compared to the Baton 3. See objects brighter and clearer with a range of 170 meters, in a wide flood that fully envelopes your peripheral view!
Convenience & Quality
Compared with the Baton 3 silicon switch, the new Baton 4 uses an upgraded metal switch that can be easily felt without looking at it, providing a better user experience. The switch sits flush with the Baton 4 frame and has a ribbed ring on the surface, similar to the Seeker 4 mini, for quick powering up or cycling through settings.
The Baton 4 also features a comfortable set of green lights that display lumens and battery levels without being overly bright or harsh. The soft, rich light provided by advanced technology is pleasing and comfortable. The concept is highly appreciated and I look forward to future models adopting this level and power bar design.
Size-wise, the Baton 4 is very compact and has laser micro-perforations for a perfect fit. It incorporates the great technology from previous larger models like the Seeker 4 Pro. Despite its small size, it offers all the best features and parameters required. For example, when I headed to the garage loft to retrieve some holiday decorations, I noticed that the Baton 4 only had one green charging slot left. Since it took me a lot of time to find and organize the decorations, I had to briefly put the Baton 4 in the charging case.
The latest addition to Baton's line of premium Charging cases is visually convenient and secure, just like previous models. However, the Baton 4 is now fully operational with the Baton 4 in the charging case without having to remove it from the case.
Battery
There's a built-in 5,000mAh battery, providing a 42% increase in capacity compared to the Baton 3. This stays on up to 190 days on moonlight, which is 2x (twice as much) as the Baton 3! (Baton 3 is 94 days) Allow me to rephrase this- That power is enough to clearly see for over a HALF YEAR. Know you will have power every time with minimal effort to keep fully charged - everyday carry just became, everywhere carry. If you experience a power failure, the case has your back- security, and safety that needs a boost every 6 months, only 1 time.
One of my favorite options, and got the attention of my family, was using the premium case to power on and fully control and use the Baton 4
(Baton 3 also) while still housed in the charging slot. Open the lid and press the display button. Use the custom step-less dimming function to control the brightness. There's no need to remove it. When your hands are dirty, or like mine last night was super cold, making the larger gripping area is a very convenient and simple way to operate the light. Less concerned about dropping it. No delay in performance. This also keeps the Baton safe in extreme weather, prone to drops and life's distractions. Close the lid, and the light will automatically turn off, conserving power. (Please note that there is full functioning ability for the baton 4 and 3 versions, but you can still charge up S1R Ⅱ, Perun Mini, or Perun 2 Mini.)
On the go EDC
Portability. The Baton 4 Premium Edition charging case comes with a built-in lanyard hole for hands-free carrying in all outdoor situations. The included lanyard enables you to keep the Baton 4 charging case close at hand without concern of it falling from a pocket or pouch. The unit allows you to stay ready, so you don't have to get ready. Being taller, this is a great option linked to my cross-body chest bag and created ease of use during my outing to the corner market, allowing a quick draw that was able to make myself and my daughter more noticeable for the walk. We were stopped along the way (this is the 3rd separate flashlight now that drew attention from the neighbors) and asked about the Baton 4, and also informed that they had recently get one of the August releases; even so, when he saw us walking past again, he was curious. He was amazed when I showed him how small the unit was for the power he was witnessing. I explained the functions and holiday gifting. I also told him about our Facebook group and where to make an account. It's the season of giving, right? Yes, it is, and he should take the advice because the Baton 4 premium edition creates the feeling of success. "4 times a charm"
This is a really bright and convenient light. Keeping one at the ready in the car for my family is now mandatory due to the new features. Having multiple options to charge up other units I already own is awesome! I plan on making this the upgrade for my stepdaughter also. I gifted her the Winter Baton 3 last year, and she loves it. I can't wait to see her face this Christmas! She recently moved out of state, so this makes sense knowing she has some reliability with her.
