The Warrior X 3 in Gunmetal Grey is the WML (Weapons Mounted Light) equivalent of the Perfect Esthetic. Olight is amazing at capturing this with the Warrior X 3 Gunmetal Grey. It isn't glossy, nor is it opaque; the depiction is literal, having the ability to house perfectly with any set-up or build. Don't mistake this for being solely for the weapons enthusiast; the Warrior X 3 is much more than that, but for those curious about the new option in terms of color, the Warrior X 3 powerful tactical flashlight is spot on.
Power: The Warrior X 3 TAC light is a powerful thrower executed through high-performance LEDs. Confidence is the feeling when using the Warrior X 3 powerful tactical flashlight. Wielding a crisp, satisfying throw of the beam and even a clean flood outer circle at the same time is masterful—this is realized using 2500 lumens stretching out 560 meters, stalling most anything in its tracks and allowing you control of any situation out front, giving you time to make the next move, be it for self-defense, against the great outdoors, or switching between changing a flat tire and keeping 560 meters well lit on the road for others to avoid you, while the Warrior X 3 TAC light shows its power. You're always in control with the Warrior X 3 in hand. Let's look at the options during carry.
Initially packaged, the Warrior X 3 Gunmetal Grey is equipped with an index tactical 'Warrior Ring' (embedded on the ring body). Same color block as the Warrior X 3 TAC light and displays the Olight logo along the edge— this is something I wouldn't mind having as a choice for every series of Olight. Along the edge of the detachable ring is a self-defense strike tip. Get caught off guard by a would-be attack, and this extra-included section of the Warrior X 3 becomes an EDC all by itself. This is removable for the transition to tactical equipment. When you want to try another option carrying the Warrior X 3, a second ring with a metal slide and silicone cover with the initials TGR (Tac Grip Ring), also the Olight logo, offering an additional 360° larger diameter to align your grip with through a raised diameter.
Complete removal of both rings will let the Warrior X 3 stay seated as securely as possible when mounted. The optional mounts are sold separately and have different designs. There are standard Picatinny rail mounts available, and my personal choice, the quick-detach Neodymium X-WM02 and 03 (2 and 3 magnet bar options) utilize the updated magnetized quick lock dual button remote power switch, also made in-house by Olight. The ODIN series happens to use the same remote line, creating interchangeability for quicker access in the field and unique tactical builds that simply allow magnetic tail switchouts while the hardware stays in place.
This locking magnetic remote switch gives you the choice of using low or high output modes. Again, this is not only tactical, it's universal; utilizing the tactical advantages offered by Olight. Another example of tactical/EDC companionship is the benefit of the charge indicator, adding again to the confidence factor of the Warrior X 3 with a clear and bright 2-color display emitted from the included MCC3 magnetic charging cable.
The benefits continue with the magnetic charger, allowing enclosed housing of the Warrior X 3 Gunmetal Grey, with the hardshell mag-plate flip-top holster also included. When in use, the unit is blessed with an onboard vibrating power indicator that increases while power decreases, starting at 20% and decreasing to 5%. Begins every 5 minutes all the way down to every ten seconds, providing the user with a much-appreciated edge over the night.
The WARRIOR X 3 utilizes a proprietary customized 5000 mah 21700 rechargeable lithium-ion battery for peak performance and offers an enormous total running time of upwards of 8 hours, with multiple modes ranging from a few lumens all the way up to Turbo mode (2500 lumens) and crisp throw of 560 meters through high-performance LEDs. The housing grip around the 21700, as well as the entire structure, are made of hardened aerospace-grade aluminum, making the Warrior X 3 tough as nails.
Even slightly tougher than that is the strike bezel, using three separately positioned zirconium beads, making the Warrior X 3 a professional-grade escape tool with a window breaker. Auto accidents, unforeseen fires, floods, oily first-rain roads—that is what makes the Warrior X 3 series one of the most important tools at my disposal in every situation I can imagine. The universally built Warrior X 3 is going to be one of the top choices considered for loved ones and colleagues simply based on the many safety functions.
Well-rounded and righteously engineered, Warrior X 3 TAC light deserves to be one of the more revered creations of importance that Olight has unveiled; delivering the new Gun Metal Grey is a blessing and a welcome color for such a beast. Warrior is true, in and of itself. I believe in this flashlight from every post—this is an advocate for safety and long-lasting power.
