With an ingenious detection algorithm, the superchip accurately analyzes battery sizes, types, polarity, and health and then gives specific commands to Ostation X: The right, healthy batteries will be charged up regardless of (+)/(-) end orientation and moved to the storage/pickup compartment, while bad ones or wrong types are refused to charge and moved to the invalid battery bin.

- We have been passionately developing this concept since last August and have successfully produced 20 prototypes that work smoothly. We were excited about this progress and aimed to release this product to the market as soon as possible. However, since this is a completely new category, opportunities and risks coexist. We recognized the importance of better understanding customer interests and needs before committing to full-scale production and further investment.As a result, we have decided to launch a campaign on Kickstarter, the world's largest crowdfunding platform. This will enable us to receive market scrutiny and feedback in the early stages of R&D, which can greatly accelerate the development of this product line and increase its success rate, or influence us to cease the R&D of Ostation X.
- The estimated shipping time for Kickstarter orders is October–November. Only after we have fulfilled all Kickstarter orders will we proceed with the Ostation X release on the Olightstore.com site, which could be in late November or December, or possibly into 2025.
- Ostation X comes with a 2-year warranty. For any after-sales questions, you can contact Olight's customer service team directly.
- The $1 deposit will be refunded on June 19.
- There will be different reward tiers with various prices and discounts. We will release the price information on June 19 on our Kickstarter project page.
- The products will be shipped out in batches once the campaign has met the initial funding requirements. The estimated shipping time will be shown on Kickstarter when you check out. Additionally, we will announce the progress of production and shipping in real time on our Facebook group.
- When our project is still live, you can cancel your pledge before it ends. However, once the project has ended successfully and pledge collection has started, it is no longer possible to cancel your pledge.
- No, the AA version is only for AA batteries, and the AAA version is only for AAA batteries.
- Yes. Please note that this device supports OTA (over-the-air) updates and you will be notified to upgrade the firmware when new features are available. We anticipate being able to upgrade your Ostation X to support more types of rechargeable batteries via OTA updates in the future after the technology is realized.
- Yes, Ostation X can charge any brand's AA/AAA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries.
